Welcome to the 15th IAPR International Workshop on Document Analysis Systems. We are happy to be able to hold most of the workshop in person, and welcome those who for assorted reasons are joining us only remotely.
Oral presentations of full-papers
There will be six oral sessions at the DAS workshop. Oral sessions will each have 2 session chairs.
In person presenters:
Papers that have authors attending in person will present them live in the meeting room. Authors should bring their presentation on a USB stick to plug into a room laptop or bring their laptop with an HDMI connector. Presenters should appear in the session room and contact their session chair at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the session, or at the end of the previous session.
In person attendees (Live session): All accepted papers will be presented according to the schedule in the designated rooms. Remote presentations will be shown on the screen for in-person attendees to watch.
Remote Presenters:
Remote Presenters should connect via Microsoft Teams and present their paper live/real-time to the audience present. This corresponds only to presentations of papers where no author is able to attend in person.
Remote attendees (Online session): A Microsoft Teams link will be used exclusively by the corresponding authors who will have to sign accordingly copyright forms in order to share online their video presentations. A video should be recorded and submitted in a typical video format and resolution (MP4, M4V, MOV, AVI) of around 10-15 minutes duration. Make sure you make it catchy for attracting the audience.
The authors should use this video as a support to their live/real-time presentation. In case an author faces some technical problem to connect to the session, the organizers could use this support to conveniently continue the presentation of the paper.
Poster presentations of full-papers and short-papers
In person presenters:
Authors of posters who will attend in person should bring posters printed on A0 paper in portrait format to the poster session. Authors are encouraged to hang their posters early in the morning of the day of their poster session. A list of posters and board assignments will be available in the room. Authors should return to the room to be present to answer questions during their poster session. In order that remote attendees may also see the posters, in person presenters are encouraged to also simultaneously have their poster available online on GatherTown (more details on this are given below).
Detailed instructions for connecting to the online GatherTown space of DAS2022:
As a speaker or presenter, you will have access to a digital area where you can interact with other participants. It is based on the GatherTown application. You can install the application on your personal computer following the application instructions. There also exists a Web client that you may access from a Web browser as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
Our digital space is available under the ‘DAS 2022’ namespace. You have access to it via the link that was sent to you by email. You will be asked to enter a username (preferably your real first-name and surname in order to be better identified by others). You are required to share your microphone and camera with the application, to be able to connect and interact with other participants.
In the DAS 2022’s GatherTown area, we provide three rooms:
- A general-purpose room where you can talk to each other face to face or around tables. This is the place where you spawn by default.
- A Full Papers room, where the posters of full papers are presented.
- A Short Papers room, with short paper posters.
Please remember that the number shown next to each poster stand corresponds to your paper-number in EasyChair. (e.g., if your EasyChair paper number is 19, your stand is the number 19). For presenting your poster, you are encouraged to share your screen, your camera and to use all the supporting materials for clearly presenting your work to other participants.
As DAS 2022 is a hybrid conference, the two poster sessions will have both online and on-site presentations. For each poster session, there will be on-site presentations of a list of posters and all other posters will be presented on the GatherTown.
